WRI Seeking Pilot Testers for GHG Protocol Mitigation Accounting Standards

WRI is currently seeking organizations to pilot test the draft GHG Protocol Policies and Actions Standard (for a sectoral policy or mitigation action) or the draft GHG Protocol Mitigation Goals Standard (for a national, subnational, or sectoral mitigation goal). Pilot testing organizations will evaluate the GHG reductions from a policy or goal following the draft standard, produce a case study for inclusion in the final standard or on the GHG Protocol website, and provide WRI with feedback on the usability and practicality of the standards before they’re finalized in early 2014. We’re seeking participants from a variety of countries, subnational regions, and cities, as well as a variety of sectors (e.g., AFOLU, energy supply, industry, residential and commercial buildings, transport, and waste). Pilot testing organizations will be acknowledged in the final standard. For more information, please see the terms of reference for pilot testing at www.ghgprotocol.org/mitigation-accounting.
