Surfers who recently have updated their bookmarks may have noticed that the GHG Protocol website (www.ghgprotocol.org) has taken on a completely new look. During the summer, the GHG Protocol team worked with Sunnywood Designs to redesign the website to improve its overall look, functionality, and usability.

Some key new features of the site include:

• Reorganization of site content to more accurately reflect current work
• ‘Sector toolsets’ on the calculation tools page to provide better guidance to companies on which tools to use to develop corporate GHG inventories
• Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) to provide additional guidance on using the tools
• Related content feeds that link content on the site
• Media section
• Improved online newsletter template that eliminates bulky PDF downloads and provides more attractive electronic mailings of quarterly updates

“We hope that the new website will improve the user experience with the GHG Protocol. As the WRI and WBCSD teams seek to engage broader audiences around the world, the website is the front face of the GHG Protocol that communicates our messages and efforts,” said Angel Hsu, a Research Analyst at WRI who spearheaded the website redesign process.

Over the coming weeks and months, new content will continue to be added to the new website.

The GHG Protocol team welcomes any feedback on the site. A contact form is also available on the website for users to provide any comments regarding the website redesign.
