Mitigation Accounting

WRI is launching a global multi-stakeholder process to develop new GHG Protocol guidelines for quantifying GHG reductions from climate change mitigation actions and policies and tracking progress toward national and sub-national GHG reduction goals.

New voluntary, policy-neutral guidelines will increase the consistency and transparency in the way government agencies, international financial/aid institutions, businesses, and civil society organizations account for GHG reductions from mitigation actions and goals.
