His focus is on the development of greenhouse gas emissions registries, including greenhouse gas accounting and reporting standards and emissions quantification methodologies. Stephen RussellStephen Russell has been working with the GHG Protocol team since July and recently joined the team as a Research Analyst. His focus is on redeveloping the GHG Protocol calculation tools to ensure that their content remains state-of-the-art and their functionality meets the reporting needs of businesses. His expertise includes statistical modeling and software programming. Prior to joining WRI, Stephen conducted environmental research as a Post-doctoral Fellow with the Max-Planck Research Society in Germany. Angel recently completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy at the University of Cambridge, where she concentrated on international environmental law , economics, and policy in relation to the global climate regime. WRI-Facilitated U.S. Registry Launched
For some time now, U.S. states have been well ahead of the federal government in taking action on climate change. In April came the latest big development: 34 U.S. states, two Canadian provinces (British Columbia and Manitoba), and the Campo Kumeyaay Nation joined together to form the Climate Registry.Read More
